How Hasbro, Mattel, McDonald's and Disney manufacture their toys? (Report
Abstract)

HKCIC released a report on the working conditions of toy production workers for Hasbro, Mattel, McDonald's and Disney in southern China in December 2001. The research, conducted from July-October 2001, interviewed 93 workers about their working conditions, safety and health environment and
labor rights consciousness. The report attempts to articulate the working conditions of toy workers against the larger background of globalizing
production of trans-national toy companies. The first two chapters of the report is accessible at our website. Individuals or groups that are interested in getting the full report (printed version), priced at US30 or HKD240, please contact us at hkcic@hknet.com
